Account Manager
Step into a Account Manager role where you’re more than just a point of contact, you’re the driving force behind customer relationships, delivery performance, and long-term growth. This Account Manager position sits at the heart of a well-established electronics manufacturing environment, giving you the chance to work closely with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to keep everything running smoothly and on time.
As a Account Manager, you’ll take ownership of key customer accounts, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded. This Account Manager role offers a mix of relationship management, planning, and problem-solving, with the flexibility of working from home on Fridays and a supportive, collaborative team around you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop relationships with key customer accounts, including site visits
- Produce and maintain delivery and production plans aligned to demand
- Oversee repeat orders and contract reviews to meet capacity and material requirements
- Work closely with Purchasing to ensure timely material availability
- Support engineering teams during peak periods (BOM checks, MRP updates)
- Expedite and resolve issues impacting delivery or commitments
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and promote services
- Prepare and negotiate quotations with customers
- Liaise with internal teams to resolve technical or operational challenges
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience as a Account Manager or similar within manufacturing or engineering
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Highly organised with excellent planning and prioritisation ability
- Confident presenting data and building lasting customer relationships
- Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Desirable Experience:
- Background in a CEM (Contract Electronics Manufacturing) environment
- Knowledge of electronics production processes
- Experience using MRP systems
Benefits:
- £40,000–£45,000 salary (depending on experience)
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with Friday working from home
