An established precision engineering manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced Toolmaker to join its skilled production team. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on engineer seeking a stable long-term role with varied work and opportunities for progression within a supportive workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Manufacturing bespoke jigs and fixtures
• Operating and programming XYZ ProtoTRAK milling machines
• Carrying out manual milling and turning operations
• Producing high-quality components to ISO9001 standards
• Deburring and polishing finished components
• Conducting self-inspection throughout the manufacturing process
• Supporting the creation of work instructions and documentation
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in manual machining, including milling and turning
• Ability to work from engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Capable of working independently and within a team
• Reliable, organised, and self-motivated approach
• Keen to develop within a growing engineering environment
