Supply Chain Coordinator
We have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Coordinator to join our client in Poole.
This growing manufacturing business is looking for a hands-on Supply Chain Coordinator to take ownership of materials planning and supplier coordination in a fast-paced environment where detail matters. The role is permanent, working Monday to Friday and paying £30,000 DOE + Benefits.
As a Supply Chain Coordinator, you’ll be right at the centre of operations, ensuring materials flow smoothly from suppliers into production. The Supply Chain Coordinator will manage MRP outputs, maintain system accuracy, and work closely with internal teams to keep everything aligned with demand. It’s a role that suits a proactive Supply Chain Coordinator who enjoys responsibility and can confidently juggle priorities.
Key responsibilities for this Supply Chain Coordinator role:
- Take ownership of MRP outputs, ensuring purchase requirements are accurate and aligned to demand
- Convert demand signals into timely purchase orders to maintain consistent material flow
- Manage supplier schedules, expediting orders to minimise disruption
- Identify supply risks early and take action to protect delivery performance
- Maintain stock levels across materials, spares, and consumables
- Investigate stock discrepancies and support stock control processes
- Raise and manage purchase orders, keeping system data accurate and up to date
- Work with production, warehouse, and service teams to manage priorities and shortages
- Provide clear updates on availability, risks, and recovery plans
- Build strong supplier relationships and resolve issues quickly
- Maintain accurate MRP/ERP data including lead times and pricing
- Produce reports on shortages, overdue orders, and supplier performance
Essential skills for the Supply Chain Coordinator:
- Experience in supply chain, purchasing, or planning within manufacturing or engineering
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (SAP beneficial)
- Proven background in supplier coordination, expediting, and stock management
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Desirable experience for the Supply Chain Coordinator:
- Previous experience working in a high-volume production environment
- Exposure to continuous improvement or process optimisation within supply chain
