Quality Team Leader
Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 per annum
Hours: Mon–Thu 7:30am–4:00pm, Fri 7:30am–1:00pm (plus overtime as required)

We’re looking for a hands‑on Quality Team Leader to supervise a small quality department within an electronics / cable assembly environment. This is a key role for someone who enjoys being close to the product, leading a team and dealing directly with customers on quality matters.

The Role

• Day‑to‑day supervision of quality department staff and planning of departmental workload.
• Control and coordination of calibration for inspection and test equipment.
• Completion of FAIRs and submission to customers, plus maintaining the customer specification register.
• Direct customer liaison on build or technical queries and support during customer audits.
• Process inspection of crimps and soldering, continuity testing and use of basic measuring tools.
• Use of Cirrus and analyser test equipment (training provided if needed).

About You

• 5+ years’ experience in a quality, inspection or test role, ideally within wiring, cable assemblies or electronics.
• Confident supervising others and organising day‑to‑day workload.
• Able to read engineering drawings, carry out continuity testing and use basic inspection tools.
• Strong communication skills, comfortable dealing with customers on queries and FAIR submissions.
• High attention to detail, computer literate; knowledge of IPC‑620 standards is highly desirable.
