The role will involve working across electrical, electronic, wiring and mechanical assemblies within a precision manufacturing environment.

This Quality Inspector opportunity would suit someone with a strong eye for detail who enjoys working within a collaborative and quality-driven team focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

As the Quality Inspector, your responsibilities will include:

  • Intermediate and final inspection of manufactured products
  • Verifying products against engineering drawings, wiring schedules and Bills of Materials
  • Supporting compliance with company quality procedures and industry standards
  • Maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based inspection records
  • Assisting with corrective and preventative actions and supporting investigations
  • Monitoring assembly and test operations to support Right First Time (RFT) performance
  • Supporting quality documentation and customer deliverables
  • Working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to maintain quality standards

To be considered for this Quality Inspector position, you should have:

  • Previous experience within a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 or similar quality standards
  • The ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of tolerances, circuit diagrams and inspection processes
  • Experience using metrology equipment and inspection techniques
  • Understanding of non-conformance management and problem-solving methods
  • Knowledge of ESD procedures and controls
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable experience for the Quality Inspector role includes:

  • IPC 610/620 inspection experience or equivalent
  • Experience within electrical/electronics assembly or precision mechanical manufacturing
  • Knowledge of machining and welding processes
  • Understanding of First Article Inspection requirements
  • Internal auditing experience

Due to the nature of the work, applicants for this Quality Inspector position must be eligible to meet UK security and compliance requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-focused Quality Inspector looking to join a professional and growing engineering business in Bournemouth.
