A well-established precision engineering business in Poole is looking to recruit an experienced Offline Programmer to join their manufacturing engineering team. This is a key opportunity for a skilled Offline Programmer who can develop efficient CNC programmes and support high-quality production across multi-axis machining environments.
This Offline Programmer role offers strong long-term stability, involvement in complex projects, and the chance to directly influence manufacturing efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and develop CNC programmes offline for 3, 4, and 5-axis machine tools
• Produce tool definitions, setup sheets, and tooling plans
• Prove out programmes and support smooth transition into production
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality
• Define production routings, tooling, work holding, and inspection requirements
• Collaborate with quality teams to ensure inspection plans are met
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
• Contribute to new product introduction and lifecycle planning

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an Offline Programmer
• Strong background in CNC machining (milling and turning)
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience with CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360 or similar preferred)
• Knowledge of multi-axis machining and tooling strategies
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Confident communicator across teams and departments
