Head of Engineering
We are currently on the lookout for a Head of Engineering to join our client in the outskirts of Leicester on a permanent basis.Â
Our client is looking for a Head of Engineering to become part of a world-leading manufacturer of composites and GRP components for industries including Formula One, automotive, engineering, marine, aerospace, and rail.Â

Head of Engineering responsibilities:
- Managing the Design Engineer team
- Collaborative relationships with both the commercial and operations teams to ensure we meet customer deadlines, and the operations staff have the correct information
- Planning, management, execution, and implementation of all engineering activities.
- Mentoring junior team members’
- Planning, management, execution, and implementation of all engineering activities.
Head of Engineering requirements:
- CAD design (Catia V5 / 3D Experience)
- Tooling design/surface design and modelling
- Ability to work on multiple priorities
- Experience in Composites Machining
- Experience within the automotive sector
- Experience within an SME is desirable
- At least 5 years of working in a senior role within the engineering field
- Master’s degree in engineering or the equivalent in engineering experience within the automotive industry
