We are looking for an experienced EHS & Compliance Manager to support a busy manufacturing environment in Portsmouth. This is a key role for someone who can drive workplace safety, environmental compliance and internal standards while helping to build a strong, positive improvement culture.
The Role
- Develop, implement and maintain EHS and compliance policies and procedures.
- Carry out audits, inspections and risk assessments across the site.
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Support and deliver training to promote safe working practices and compliance awareness.
- Work closely with the Quality Manager on QMS, site inspections and internal audits.
- Monitor and report EHS/compliance data, actions and performance metrics to management.
- Support emergency preparedness, environmental initiatives and 5S/housekeeping standards.
About You
- Experience in EHS, compliance, HSE or a similar manufacturing/engineering support role.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001, with knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 highly desirable.
- NEBOSH qualification preferred, or demonstrable hands-on EHS experience.
- Confident with audits, investigations, reporting and delivering training.
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels and work across departments.
- Competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
