A well-established engineering business in Ferndown is looking to add an experienced CNC Turner to its team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner Programmer who is confident setting, operating, and programming CNC lathes within a precision engineering environment.
If you’re a hands-on CNC Turner who enjoys working with modern machinery and producing high-quality components, this role offers stability, variety, and a supportive workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Programme, set, and operate CNC turning machines
• Work with live tooling and multi-axis lathes where required
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspections using measuring equipment
• Make programme and offset adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
• Ensure machines are set up and running efficiently to meet production targets

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner or CNC Turner Programmer
• Strong ability to set, operate, and programme CNC lathes
• Experience with live tooling and/or multi-axis machines
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Desirable Experience

• Experience with Fanuc or similar controls
• Background in precision engineering environments
• Experience working with tight tolerances and complex components
