Senior Electrical and Electronic Design Engineer

We are partnering with a world class solutions provider who offer exceptional service and system support to a large client base that includes aerospace, defence, rail & transport, as well as telecoms. Delivery successful engineering solutions to exact requirements are our client’s priority. They are currently looking for a Senior Electrical and Electronic Design Engineer to join their already strong team.
 
The Senior Electrical and Electronic Design Engineer will be responsible for the conceptual design and flow-down of work packages and successful product realisation.  This role will provide technical support and training to less senior EE engineers.
 
 
The Senior Electrical and Electronic Engineer
 
 
Key responsibilities as Senior Electrical and Electronic Engineer:

• General electrical/ Electronic design specifications for team members
• Prepare cost estimates for quotes
• Acting in the capacity of a lead technical engineer on projects including generating electrical/ electronic design specifications for team members
• Design PCB’s when necessary
• Communicate with customers and project engineers to clarify requirements/ meet design specifications
• Identify and support timely development of “fit for purpose” electrical drawings and electronic documentation
• Sign off manufacturing drawing pack (readiness to build)
• Work closely with manufacturing dept
• Running and supervising testing

Experience as Senior Electrical and Electronic Design Engineer:

• Formal engineering qualification in electronic/ electrical design
• Min 5 years related industry experience
• Possess all requirements for successfully meeting formal Security Check criteria
• Experience of testing diagnostic equipment
• Experience of designing analogue and digital interface circuits
• Experience in Power Engineering an advantage
• Experience with National Instruments hardware/software an advantage
