Senior Design Engineer
One of our valued clients, a precision manufacturing business with decades of experience in their industry, are currently on the lookout for a Senior Design Engineer to join their expanding business.
The company are well known within their industry for supplying quality products and a premier service when it comes to the complex solutions they provide, proven in the fact they have been around for over half a century and supply globally. The Senior Design Engineer will be supporting the business profitability and strategy through development and design of new and existing solutions for the companies customers.
Responsibilities as Senior Design Engineer:
- Utilise proven knowledge and experience to design and develop new product and solutions
- Test and develop the new products and solutions meeting specific customer requirements
- Interpret and analyse technical specifications and standards
- Design, test and commission test rigs
- Oversee and report on the development testing process
- Continuous improvement activities to improve cost, quality and OTIF
- Produce accurate production procedures
- Manage team development and performance
- Liaise with customers and suppliers on technical matters
Experience required as Senior Design Engineer:
- Qualified to HND level in Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience within a similar position
- Demonstrable abilities in project / product management
- Abilities to design and develop test rigs
- Confident with 3D CAD design and modelling for complex products
- Innovative and methodical attitude
