Production Planner
I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established and highly respected manufacturing business, who are looking to strengthen their planning function with the addition of a Production Scheduler / Production Planner.

The successful Production Scheduler / Production Planner will take ownership of production planning activities, working closely with key departments to ensure schedules are aligned with operational capacity and business priorities.
This Production Scheduler / Production Planner position offers genuine scope to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational efficiency across the manufacturing process.
As a Production Scheduler / Production Planner, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining accurate production schedules to meet customer demand
- Coordinating with manufacturing, procurement, quality, and engineering teams
- Monitoring production progress and adjusting schedules to ensure on-time delivery
- Ensuring efficient utilisation of labour, materials, and equipment
- Identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts or resource constraints
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the planning function
- Using ERP systems to manage and track production activity
To be successful in this Production Scheduler / Production Planner role, you will need:
- Proven experience in a production planning or scheduling role within manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems
- Experience using AMADA software with a clear understanding of nesting processes (essential)
- The ability to coordinate effectively across multiple departments
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Experience monitoring and adjusting production schedules in line with business needs
Desirable experience for the Production Scheduler / Production Planner includes:
- Understanding of quality control standards and their integration into production scheduling
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience analysing production data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
