Design Engineer

Our Dorset based client are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join their team. The requires a dynamic problem solver wo can work on all stages of product development. Responsibilities as Design Engineer

 – Support the company’s existing range of products and put forward design proposals that fulfil the agreed specifications
 – Provide technical support to all stakeholders both internal and external
 – Share ideas and knowledge, having a focus on continuous improvement and suggesting improvements and upgrades
 – Get on board with lean initiatives
 – Take ownership, drive progress and work to targets
 – Manage multiple projects at any one time
 – Make designs using 3D CAD software
 
Previous experience and qualifications as Design Engineer

 – 3D CAD Software experience essential
 – Previous experience in a similar role within an engineering and manufacturing business
 – Design for Manufacturing experience
 – Strong IT Skills
 – Mechanical Engineering qualification
 – Reliable, Flexible and punctual
 – Knowledge of machine manufacture ideal
