Planner Estimator
We are currently partnering with a Weymouth-based manufacturing business that due to expansion and continued growth is now sourcing a Planning Estimator to join their team.
Our client, a successful precision engineering business have the capacity to offer their clients a bespoke service, setting them apart from some of their competitors. They pride themselves on offering a full and quality service and are continually developing their business model to ensure they can always deliver best practices and innovative, cost-effective solutions for their customers.
Responsibilities for Planner Estimator
- You will be responsible for analysing customer requirements and specifications.
- Providing accurate cost estimates
- Provide Production plans for all engineering projects.
- Always work to improve and have a continuous improvement focus on all you do
- Be involved with any projects that can help improve the business, having input where appropriate.
- Providing a pro-active approach to your work, with a get-it-done attitude.
Key skills and experience for Planner Estimator
- You will have experience working within a lean manufacturing environment.
- Ideally you will ideally know your way around a machine shop and have a good understanding of machining and laser cutting, perhaps having been hands-on yourself.
- A strong knowledge of processes and manufacturing methods
- Pro-active approach, who can look outside the box
