PCB Inspector

Holt Engineering is recruiting for a PCB Inspector to join a growing and well-established manufacturing business in Fareham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within the quality team, working across goods-in, in-process, and final inspection of electrical and electronic assemblies.

The PCB Inspector role is paying £13.50 – £14.50 per hour (DOE) and working hours are Mon–Thurs 7:30–16:30 | Fri 7:30–12:30

What the PCB Inspector role will include: 

  • Inspect electrical & electronic assemblies and PCBs to drawings and standards
  • Carry out goods-in, stage, and final inspections
  • Manage calibrated tools – issuing and control
  • Support First Article Inspection (FAIR) processes
  • Assist in resolving quality-related issues and root cause investigations
  • Work closely with the Quality Controller to improve and maintain standards
  • Provide ongoing QA support across the business
  • Proactively flag any risks to quality or delivery

Experience required for the PCB Inspector: 

  • Previous experience in electronics / PCB inspection (essential)
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • IPC knowledge/training (advantageous, not essential)
  • A structured, methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
  • Good organisational and time management skills
