We are seeking a skilled PCB Assembler with Conformal Coating Technician experience to join our manufacturing team in Fareham.

The PCB Assembler/Conformal Coating Technician will play a critical role in applying protective coatings to electronic components and assemblies to ensure their reliability and longevity in various environments.

The ideal candidate should have experience in PCB assembling and conformal coating processes, be detail-oriented, and possess a strong commitment to quality 

Main duties and responsibilities as an PCB Assembler/ Conformal coating:

  • Coating Application: Apply conformal coatings to electronic components and PCB assemblies using various methods such as dip coating, spray coating, or selective coating.
  • Equipment Setup and Maintenance: Set up and maintain coating equipment, ensuring it operates efficiently and meets safety standards.
  • Material Handling: Handle and store coating materials safely, including mixing and preparing conformal coating solutions as needed.
  • Quality Control: Inspect coated components for defects, such as bubbles, runs, or insufficient coverage, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of coating processes, including material usage, process parameters, and quality control checks.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to coating defects or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines when working with chemicals and coating equipment.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with engineering and production teams to continuously improve coating processes and quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage coating material inventory, reorder supplies as needed, and maintain a well-organized workspace.

Qualifications:

•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training related to conformal coating is a plus.

•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Previous experience in conformal coating processes, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment.

•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Familiarity with various coating methods, materials, and equipment.

•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.

•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures when working with chemicals and machinery.

•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Effective communication and teamwork skills.

•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving coating technologies and processes.

 

Physical Requirements:

•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

•Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â  Lift and carry materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
