NPI Production Engineer

Our client are on the lookout for an experienced NPI Production Engineer to join their team. As an NPI Production Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the introduction of new products and ensuring that production processes are optimised for both efficiency and quality. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on a fantastic manufacturing operation and contribute to the success of the growing business.

Responsibilities as NPI Production Engineer

– Support the introduction of new products into the production environment
– Create and observe process controls and procedures to ensure optimal and efficient production
– Provide guidance and support to the production team and operators as needed
– Implement lean initiatives and focus on waste elimination to improve business efficiency
– Review standard work methods and instructions, and identify opportunities for improvement
– Conduct stress testing and post-build reviews to ensure quality standards are maintained
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch of new products

Qualifications and experience as NPI Production Engineer

– Previous experience in a similar production position, preferably in an assembly environment
– HND or equivalent in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering
– Exposure to lean manufacturing methods and quality methodologies
– Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor
– Strong communication and problem-solving skills
– Experience with flowline manufacturing is a plus

Day-to-day experience as NPI Production Engineer

– Observing and creating process controls and procedures
– Providing support and guidance to the production team
– Implementing lean initiatives and focusing on waste elimination
– Reviewing standard work methods and instructions
– Conducting stress testing and post-build reviews

As an Electronics Engineer you will enjoy working within a dynamic team and on products for industries including Aerospace, Defence, Medical, Automotive, and Industrial. The Electronics Engineer will work as the technical go-to for advice on new projects as well as issue solving.
 
Electronics Engineer responsibilities:
Prepare and prioritise build packs and technical documentation where necessary.
Work with various areas of the business on NPI and NPD.
Assist design engineers on the design for manufacture capability.
Be active in process improvement suggestions and implementation for any identified faults.
Introduce better tooling and / or processes to help improve the production processes and hit KPI’s.
Sign off on and input all Bills of Materials within the company systems.
 
Electronics Engineer experience:
Strong demonstrable experience with electronics manufacture.
