Holt Engineering Recruitment are looking for a skilled Wire Person to join our manufacturing client in Fareham.
As a Wire Person , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
Your responsibilities as a Wire Person will include:
- Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics and diagrams to install and wire electrical components, circuits and systems.
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Ensure all wiring and installations comply with electrical codes, safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct tests on electrical systems to identify faults, diagnose problems and verify the quality of installations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including diagrams, maintenance logs and service reports.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless project execution.
The successful Wire Person will:
- Have a valid electrical certification or license.
- Have minimum 2 years experience as a Wire Person or similar role in the electrical field.
- Possess strong knowledge of electrical systems, components and wiring techniques.
- Have excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills.
- Be able to work in physically demanding conditions including climbing, bending & lifting heavy objects.
- Have previously worked in the military or Aerospace industry as a wire person.
This Wire Person role offers 37.5 hours a week with an early finish on Fridays!
Paying up to £15.00 per hour depending on experience + Overtime x1.5 !
