We are looking for a Trainee Sheet Metal Operative to join our client in Christchurch, this is an exciting opportunity to join a busy team due to an internal promotion! This role is permanent and an offer an immediate start.
The company are looking for a motivated and career driven person who is looking to excel within fabrication. The role is £11.70ph to start with great opportunities to progress your skills and increase your pay rate!
This is a large company that design and manufacture high quality structures and equipment, you will be working on a large catalogue of products, working from drawings to manufacture sheet metal components.
Duties for the successful Trainee Sheet Metal Operative:
- Marking out material and templates
- Operating a guillotine and brake press
- Cutting, folding and edge rolling sheet metal
- Using various hand and power tools
- Assisting around the workshop as and when needed.
Key skills to be considered for this Trainee Sheet Metal Operative:
- Strong math skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous experience within a fabrication/ workshop environment
- Flexible and versatile with a can do attitude
