Support Engineer
We are currently partnered with a global manufacturing company who specialise in the design, manufacture, and supply of hi-tech equipment. They are currently looking for a Support Engineer to join their team and become a subject matter expert for the clients’ projects.
The company has been a premier supplier of hi-tech electrical and electro-mechanical solution for many years, and cover a range of industries including communications, computing, and imaging. The Support Engineer will be the main point of contact for customers and deliver support solutions to their requirements. The Support Engineer will also need solid understanding of industry relevant standards to be able to give guidance.
Key responsibilities as Support Engineer:
- Deliver support programmes to customers ensuring they are on time, to budget and to the required quality standards.
- Analyse the support systems and recommend changes or improvements where possible.
- Champion the design and implementation of various company support systems.
- Assist and support the bidding and proposal teams and processes.
- Add support and assistance to other areas of the business where necessary.
Experience required as Support Engineer:
- Solid knowledge of various Defence standards including but not limited to Def Stan 00-600, DLF (JS886) and ASD S series.
- Experienced with verification and validation processes.
- Understanding of ILS or IPS for UK Defence programmes.
- Strong working knowledge of design engineering methods and techniques.
- Confident with all Microsoft Offices packages.
- Valid and current SC clearance or ability to gain SC clearance.
Support Engineer job summary:
Type: Site based (travel to and from other sites will be included)
Location: Redditch
Hours: 38 per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £50k to £60k
