Production Assistant
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Location: Basingstoke
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company in the Basingstoke area, who are looking for a Production Assistant to join their growing team and increased production capabilities.
Production Assistant responsibilities:
- Parts finishing: aqua vapour blasting, shot peening (light peening), vibro deburr/flow deburring, lapping and polishing.
- Pin bore and datum honing on pistons and liners.
- Xylan printing and spraying.
- Assembling components to specific instruction.
- Support machine cleaning activities including coolant maintenance.
Production Assistant requirements:
- 1 to 2 years’ experience working in a machine shop environment.
- Good attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to learn.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings (desirable).
- Experience in the Automotive and Aerospace industry (desirable).
