We are currently recruiting for Mechanical Fitters for our Client in Poole.
The purpose of a Mechanical Fitter is to assemble components and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools, to create mechanical parts and products. This role involves reading and interpreting engineering drawings and diagrams, as well as using measuring and testing instruments to ensure parts are assembled correctly. The Mechanical Fitter must also ensure that safety protocols are always followed and that products are assembled to the highest quality standards.
- Fit parts and sub-assemblies together
- Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and other technical documents
- Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
- Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies to produce complete products.
- Use of hand tools and light machinery to assemble components.
- Fit components and check for accuracy and quality.
- Work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in mechanical Assembly
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and diagrams
- Ability to accurately assemble components
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to follow instructions and quality control protocols
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
