As Health Safety and Environment Officer, you will be the first point of contact for day-to-day operational issues the HSE Officer assists the HSE Manager in ensuring compliance with all company HSE procedures, policies and legislation, management of HSE systems, reporting and the maintenance of HSE documentation and data

Key responsibilities as Health, Safety, and Environment Officer:
- Co-ordinate and assist with delivering, where applicable HSE related workshops and training to all employees including toolbox talks and safety alerts
- Assist the HSE Manager to investigate accident, incident, and dangerous occurrence. Making appropriate recommendations for remedial action to prevent occurrence.
- Carry out HSE Induction for new starters, contractors as required
- Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures and SOP’s risk assessments and HSE Campaigns across the site
- Maintain a strong presence on site, collaborating with the supervisors and employees to provide guidance, information and advice on Health and Safety related matters
- Support development and issue of HSE communications such as campaign information, posters briefings and noticeboard material
Experience as Health, Safety and Environment Officer:
- NEBOSH National General Certificate
- Strong knowledge of COSHH, PUWER & LOLER regulations
- Experience in a similar engineering, manufacturing or construction environment in a focused health and safety position
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong relationship builder
- Committed to work details and determined to see a job through to a satisfactory conclusion
- High level of accuracy and detail
- Demonstratable ability to evaluate processes and instigate continuous improvement
