Holt Engineering Recruitment are looking for a skilled Fettler to join our engineering client in Southampton!
Our client is part of a group of engineering businesses that leverage the strengths of each operation to support customer needs within casting, NDT, machining and finishing- supplying high quality components to the aerospace and performance critical industry sectors. You will be joining a friendly and motivated business where the development and growth opportunities are never ending.
The Fettler will be responsible for the efficient manual blending and polishing of precision metal components using multiple tools to finish the products to specification requirements
In return you will be working day shifts Monday to Friday totalling 39 hours per week with a pay rate of £11.44ph.
The successful Fettler will receive:
- 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays

The main Duties & Responsibilities of the Fettler include:
- Fettle components to a high level of part quality
- Ensure production times are met in line with orders
- Maintain shop order record logs
- Use deburring tools to remove rough edges from metal parts
- Manual blending and polishing of components
The successful Fettler will:
- Be quality and detailed focused
- Raise quality concerns as and when required
- Be able to work to tight tolerances and to visual acceptance standards
- Be able to meet schedules in conjunction with the rest of the team
- Be able to work with minimum supervision
- Have previous experience working with metal fabrication
This is a Permanent position working 39 hours per week and paying £11.44ph upwards!
