CNC Turner Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Turner to join our dynamic team. As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC Star Sliding Head lathes using Fanuc control language to manufacture precision components for various industries including aerospace, motorsport, automotive, medical, and commercial markets. You’ll also benefit from a four-day working week.

CNC Turner Responsibilities

  • Programming CNC Star Sliding Head lathes using Fanuc control language to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Setting up and operating CNC machines to ensure the production of high-quality parts
  • Performing quality checks on finished components to ensure they meet the required standards
  • Collaborating with the engineering and production teams to optimise manufacturing processes and ensure efficiency
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in compliance with company procedures and health and safety regulations
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality standards

CNC Turner Qualifications

  • Proven experience in programming and operating CNC Star Sliding Head lathes using Fanuc control language
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric tolerancing
  • Proficiency in precision manufacturing processes for aerospace, motorsport, automotive, medical, or commercial industries
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment

CNC Turner Day-to-Day

  • Programming and setting up CNC machines for production runs
  • Operating CNC lathes to produce components with high precision and accuracy
  • Conducting quality checks and measurements to ensure components meet required specifications
  • Collaborating with other team members to optimize production processes and workflow
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards
