Double Days – £35,000 to £40,000
 
We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Bournemouth. This permanent, full-time role is ideal for a CNC Turner who takes pride in producing high-quality components and enjoys working in modern, well-equipped facilities.
 
As the CNC Turner, you will set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision parts from technical drawings. The CNC Turner will be responsible for maintaining tight tolerances, inspecting your own work, and ensuring programs run smoothly while contributing to a safe and efficient workshop environment.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components
  • Check parts meet quality standards and maintain tight tolerances
  • Edit and tweak CNC programs to optimise production
  • Inspect your own work to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Assist with routine machine maintenance and keep the shop floor safe
  • Work on a double-day shift, alternating between early and late starts

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner, ideally on Fanuc or Siemens controls
  • Confidence reading technical drawings and working to tight tolerances
  • Hands-on skills setting tooling, offsets, and making program edits
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
  • Multi-axis CNC experience is advantageous but not essential
