CNC Setter
We are currently working with a prestigious and premier level business who are on the lookout for a CNC Setter to join their growing engineering workshop.
The company are steeped in British manufacturing heritage as a top tier shotgun maker, epitomising British craftsmanship and skill in the intricacies of the one-off guns they make for their clients. The CNC Setter would be working within the machine shop of the company covering the setting and operating of various multi-axis mills, lathes and EDM machinery.
Key responsibilities as CNC Setter
- Setting and operating Fanuc controlled machinery
- Working on new and legacy products
- Working on multi-axis mills, lathes and EDM machinery
- Manufacturing precision components in a range of steels
- Working with high and low volume production
Key experience for the CNC Setter
- Proven background in CNCÂ setting and operating
- Demonstrable experience with carbon and tool steels
- Confident reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings and models
- Competent with both imperial and metric measurements
- Able to accurately self-inspect first offs and long batch intermittent components
