Hours: Monday – Friday, fulltime

We’re on the lookout for a CNC Miller with strong Heidenhain experience to join a forward-thinking precision manufacturing team in Portsmouth. About the Role As a CNC Miller, you’ll be programming, setting, and operating Heidenhain-controlled milling machines, with Hypermill used offline for more advanced jobs. You’ll be working on high-precision components across sectors including motorsport and advanced engineering — the type of work where standards matter and attention to detail pays off.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and optimise milling programs (Heidenhain & Hypermill)
• Select tooling, cutting data, and machining strategies
• Set and operate 3-axis, 4-axis & 5-axis machines
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings
• Perform first-off and in-process inspections
• Work with engineering and production teams to improve processes

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a programmer
• Confident with Heidenhain controls (essential)
• Hypermill experience preferred: other CAD/Cam software also considered
• Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds & speeds
• Good understanding of GD&T
• Quality-focused mindset and problem-solving ability
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
