CNC Miller
We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller Programmer to join a well know precision engineering company who are based in the Portsmouth area. As a CNC Miller Programmer, you will be responsible for setting up, operating and programming mills using Fanuc system to produce high-quality precision parts.
CNC Miller Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills to produce parts in accordance with blueprints and engineering drawings
- Program CNC mills using Fanuc system to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Monitor machine operations to detect any malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes
- Adhere to safety and quality standards at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC miller and programmer
- Proficiency in programming using Fanuc system
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and quality
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of machine tooling and cutting parameters
- Experience with CNC mill setup and operation is preferred
- Knowledge of G-code and M-code is a plus
Day-to-Day
- Set up CNC mills and program using Fanuc system
- Monitor machine operations and adjust as necessary
- Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with colleagues to optimize manufacturing processes
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
