Assistant Planner

Role:  Assistant Planner
Location: Fareham
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum (DOE)
 
Holt Recruitment is working with an Electrical manufacturer in Fareham. They are looking for an Assistant Planner to join the company on a permanent, full-time basis. No hybrid or remote working is available.
 
What’s the role?
Assistant Planner duties will include: 

• Develop and manage plans to meet both business and customer needs.
• Ensure work order dates are consistently met in alignment with established schedules.
• Oversee customer-specific supply and demand tools, as necessary.
• Alert the business to potential risks affecting agreed plans, particularly related to capacity or resource availability.
• Generate and distribute daily/weekly reports and planning updates to support the overall production plan.
• Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to ensure timely delivery of materials required for Work Orders.
• Address and resolve critical issues within the company that may impact delivery schedules or other commitments. 

What do you need?
 
Essential:

• Previous experience of MRP systems, BOMs and planning methodologies.
• Experience in manufacturing
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent PC skills including MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Planning and prioritisation skills 

Desirable:

• A sound understanding of a CEM environment
• Knowledge of electronics production techniques
