We are currently recruiting for an Advanced Masnufacturing Engineer.
Our Client is a leading provider of integrated avionics, engines, systems and service solutions for aircraft manufacturers, airlines, business and general aviation, military space and airport operations.
Job Overview:
The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of manufacturing engineering within any given area of the business.
Job Description:
• Develop and implement strategies to drive overall product and process improvements
as well as product integrity on existing products.
• Support the Development and introduction of new products.
• Drive & Deliver any prototypes for process or design validation, as qualification
hardware,
• Get back to standard any defect issues in a prompt manner;
• Lead and co-ordinate cell manufacturing activities between Product Engineers,
Operations, ME and Quality and Manufacturing Assurance team.
• Plan, deploy, monitor and control site-level improvement initiatives to drive
Productivity (and includes Machining programme writing and verification and fixturing
design).
• Support customer and supplier communications to improve product quality and
delivery.
Skills and Requirements:
• Technical expert for products manufactured & processes within their cell(s)
• Proven experience within the general application of engineering. This could be within
mechanical/electrical/manufacturing
• Previous experience of participating, and actioning continuous improvement projects
• Experience of PFMEA is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
