Accounts Assistant
Our client are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing AP/AR ledgers, assisting with the preparation of month-end accounts, and handling the treasury function. This role will also involve processing payments and receipts on the accounting system and maintaining expense claims.
Responsibilities for Accounts Assistant:
– Managing Accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers and ensure accuracy in all transactions
– Submit accounts to Head Office within designated time lines
– Assist in the preparation of month-end accounts
– Manage the treasury function and ensure compliance with financial regulations
– Process payments and receipts on the accounting system
– Handle expense claims and ensure timely reimbursement to employees
– Use analytical skills to recognise process improvements
– Maintain good communication with team members and stakeholders
– Pay great attention to detail and proactively identify and resolve discrepancies
– Use own initiative to contribute to the efficiency of the finance function
Qualifications for Accounts Assistant
– Part-qualified or graduate accountant
– Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail
– Ability to use own initiative and recognise process improvements
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Familiarity with accounting software and MS Excel
– Prior experience in managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers is preferred
