Tough Mudder Charity Event
On Sunday 7th May, 9 of our Holtimate Warriors took part in Tough Mudder, a challenging 12 mile mud and obstacle course, designed to drag you out of your comfort zone by testing your physical strength, stamina, and mental grit.
The purpose of the event was to raise money for our chosen charity, Victoria Education Centre, who we do various fundraising events for throughout the year.
The day started early with a 7am meetup to allow for travel time (and a McDonalds pit stop) to get to Henley on Thames.
After an energetic warm up hosted by Tough Mudder leaders, it was time to show them what we’re made of. The course comprised of lengthy spells of running, with 20 challenging obstacles to overcome. The obstacles varied from being propelled into a bucket of ice, crawling through small tunnels, and running through electric current.
The brave team have been collecting donations for our chosen charity, Victoria Education Centre, a day and residential Special School in Poole, Dorset offering specialised high quality education, therapy and care for young people.
So far we have raised over £1,170 so a huge thank you to all our clients, friends and family who have played a huge part in supporting us.
All money raised will go towards helping children with severe disabilities with equipment and apparatus to aid their education and lifestyle. The grand total raised will be revealed in coming weeks so don’t forget to follow our social channels to keep up to date!
